Several basic performance for LED

Here introduce several basic performance for LED,those signage companies can take it as a reference when designing .

1、Brightness

Different price for different brightness.LED should be conformed with laser I standard if applied in LED lighting.

2、Anti-static ability

LED with strong anti-static LED ability ,have a long lifespan,so the price is a little higher.Usually LED only which anti-static is above 700v can be used in LED lighting.

3、Wave length

Constant wave length LED,constant color,if color consistency required,the price will be higher .It’s difficult for those manufacturers who has not LED testing instrument to produce pure color products.

4、Leakage current

LED single directional conductive lighting object,if reverse current,we called leakage electricity,high leakaged LED,the lifespan will be much shorter,also the price will be low.

5、Emitting angle

Different usage LED has different emitting angle.Higher price for special emitting angle and all diffuse angle

6、Lifespan

Lifespan is the key difference between LED products,lifespan is decided by light decay.

7、Chip

Chip is the emitting object,there is a huge difference between different chip.Japan and America chips usually at a higher price.Chips from Taiwan and China mainland at a lower price.

8、Chip size

Usually the chip size denotes with side length,big size chip has a better quality than smaller ones,the pcolloidrice is in direct proportion to chip size.

9、Colloid

Normal LED colloid usually be called epoxy resin ,LED with uvioresistant and fire  retardant has a higher price,higher quality outdoor LED lighting should contain uvioresistant and fireproof material (Our module use ABS+PC material )

From the electric safety,should be conformed to relevant international and national standard.since LED is new products,china national standard is a little lag behind,but government provide qualified tests for products,those LED lighting will be at a high price if they have international safety certification ( like GS、CE、UL etc ) and national product quality certification,because those products was more reliable in safety design.consumers needs to identify the authenticity of the certification .There are not many factories has both international and national product certification.

From the health aspects,Product will be at a high price if use nontoxic material,especially for indoor LED lighting,don’t use LED lights with peculiar smell.Only several LED manufacturers use nontoxic material for production,,for the distinguish method,u can use nose,product with toxic will be much cheaper than those with nontoxic ones.like plumbum、mercury、cadmium and so on toxin needs to be analyzed by specialists.

From environment safety ,product price will be at a higher price if has reliable dustproof、moistureproof、waterproof、ultraviolet-proof、low temperature cracking-proof.

From safety working time,normal customers cannot distinguish the ok product and defects,designing reliability、components good or not,that matters price.project used lamps,do not use low price、shoddy products.Price will be vastly different in case of using different cables .some manufacturers use electronic components from old machines,recycle plastics,recycle metal material to produce LED lamps,price of those defects will be lower than normal LED lamps for 50%

Four problems needs to be noted when renovate the old AD signboard

1,If with steel framed structure,we should check the rusting status carefully.If effect the safety and appearance of the whole signage structure ,you will be considered to change a new one.but if still can be used after cleaning and not effect the new design,then no need to be replaced;

2,If the whole frame is wooden structure,it will be rotted and deformed after a long time,so it will be meaningless to do any update on signage surface,since too much hidden danger ;

3,If it is light box signage,besides considering it’s structure ,the most important thing is to check the circuit board and luminous conditions ,if like frames,panels and internal lights all seriously destroyed,you should be considered to design a new one.If only deformed and color changed for panels,then the emphasis is to check internal lights and circuit;

4,Neon light updates,as well know,since too many impersonality reasons,it will easily be broke inevitably.We should consider below when updating,even if it’s not broken,it still needs to be reinforced .Check whether the ballast is good ,whether the circuit was short out etc.  

In many recent signage renovating projects,there are some problems,hereby I would like to make some explanation,hope those customers with old signage renovating projects,can make a balance.If it’s not suitable for renovating,better to change a new one,this will save a lot of resources.As a LED AD signage light source manufacturer ,we will try to provide some suggestions on signage design.Meanwhile we hope can communicate with industry person to work out a better solution and satisfied service,also hope the signage market can develop in a healthy and rapid way,that will leave better image among customers.
